Thanksgiving is two days away. Eek!! Do you have your shopping done and your menu all planned out or are you a procrastinator like me? Still need some inspiration? I got you covered!
It happens every year. Half of the woman are in the kitchen still cooking. Maybe someone burnt the rolls like my mother does every year. Maybe the bird took a little bit longer than expected. Meanwhile everyone’s starving. The men are in the living room watching football and griping because dinner’s not ready and someone’s sneaking bites of the mac and cheese or picking at the turkey. Can we get some appetizers here, please?!
I’ve gathered a list of some of my favorite Thanksgiving appetizers to appease starving company before dinner is served.
- Crackers, Cheese and Klement’s Summer Sausage.
- Fruit Tray with Cream Cheese Dip.
- Veggie and Dip Tray.
- Spinach Dip and Bread Bowl or Bread Boat.
- Buffalo Chicken Dip.
- Klement’s Cocktail Smokies
- Meatballs in Barbecue Sauce.
- Veggie Pizza.
- Ham and Cream Cheese Roll Ups.
- Fried Pickles with Ranch Sauce.
I made my veggie pizza with a crescent roll crust and a cream cheese and powdered ranch base and topped with sliced, fresh veggies.
These Cocktail Smokies from Klement’s are a big crowd pleaser. They come in Regular, Cheddar, Bratwurst, Polish and Italian. They come fully cooked so they’re super easy to make. You can throw them in the crock pot like I did or cook them on the stove. For a quick and easy sauce mix together (1) 32 oz jar of Grape Jelly and (2) 12 oz. jars of Chili Sauce and simmer in a crock pot for an hour or so.
Klement’s authentic European handcrafted summer sausage has a taste that’s cut above the rest and is sure to get people talking. This summer sausage, cheese and cracker platter is a classic appetizer set to please. The summer sausage comes in Original, Beef, Garlic, Cheddar, Jalapeno and Fit Lifestyle with less than 1/2 the fat of the original recipe.
Klement’s is made with all natural ingredients for rich flavor. Their precooked sausages are gluten free, contain no MSG, are produced in small batches and slow cooked by 3 generations of artisans.
