Our family had the privilege of spending the weekend at Maumee Bay State Park Lodge to celebrate their 25th anniversary a couple weeks ago. Guests enjoyed 1991 pricing and entered to win one of 25 free vacations from the lodge. We ate cake and ice cream and enjoyed a celebratory brunch at Water’s Edge. Bucky, the Ohio State Park Lodges mascot even made an appearance!
With it’s beautiful beach, nature trails and family activities this place is one of my favorite places in Ohio to vacation.
Maumee Bay State Park Lodge is perfect for families. Inside the lodge you’ll find several activities for kids and grown-ups both. There’s games galore, indoor racket ball and tennis and a huge indoor pool with fountains, a waterfall and hot tubs.
Take the fun outdoors and explore all the Nature Trail and beach have to offer. We spotted several deer, birds, ducks and an owl on the boardwalk. Your best bet for seeing deer is early morning so set the alarm and take a hike. You won’t be disappointed.
