Today I’m sharing some of my favorite snacks to take on a road trip.
What to pack:
Banana Chips or any Dried Fruit
String Cheese (make sure it stays in a cooler)
Rice Crispy Treats
When selecting a box to store your travel snacks in I suggest choosing a rectangular shaped, longer tote that’s not too deep. My tote slides conveniently underneath the middle seats of my van. This way it doesn’t take up much room, it’s out of the way, and the kids can easily get to it when they start getting hungry.
What NOT to pack:
Oranges: the peels end up everywhere.
Bananas: the peels end up on the ground and squishing into the floor.
Chips: these are just a crumbling mess.
What about drinks?
We pack water bottles and juice boxes in a cooler.
One of the things I really miss on the road is my Absopure home water system and I’m a little reluctant to travel without it. Unfortunately it’s not so easy to pack up the entire system.
I trust Absopure to bottle up only the cleanest, crispest water they have at their resources for all my travel needs. I love their little “packables” which are mini sized at 6.5ozs and great for little hands. Absopure has retailers in Michigan, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Wisconsin. Click here to find a store near you.
